The pro installers probably already know this (be shocked if they DIDN'T),
alignment issues are "Normal" when erecting just about anything, including
stuff with room, carefully made and tested on the ground even with lots of
clearance on the holes

Iron workers usually don't use a tapered pin per-se, they use a "Spud
wrench" (and back when, when I climbed - never mind climbed, made a living
on the iron - assembled crane systems) They are a heavy duty wrench with a
long tapered pin as a handle - basically a two in one tool, and there is
always a neck down part at the thick end, right below the wrench head so
you can tie a line there.

Nothing like being strapped to the side of something not all that well
secured, and having to hoist up a sledge to persuade something into place.
(Better trust your harness, as both hands are on the hammer)
