[TowerTalk] 6 mtr quad

I had quads for years but the heat and UV of the AZ sun really did them in.
I even had the Lightning Bolt fiberglass arms and they too broke. (I think
he went out of business.)
It was 5 el on 20, 5 el on 15 and 7 el on 10 at 105 feet. The 10 meter quad
was awesome up 3 WL.
But it really came down to a maintenance issue. I have a OB16-3 now that's
ok but can't touch the quad BUT it stays together. QED

Quads may be quieter during precipitation but if they had magical gain every
contest station would be using them.

Hi Mike,

I'm a firm believer that quads open the band in the morning and close them
down at night. 15m was a dream for me as a kid.
