I purchase a fair amount of 6061T6, mill finish. A variety of wall
thicknesses are available. I use 1/4. 3/16ths, and 1/8th inch There are
better alloys and tempers.
Try looking up Alro. I think that's the proper spelling. They have many
outlets and the best prices I've found so far.
Standard lengths for structural steel and Al tube is 24' give or take.
DX Engineering tube is expensive, but if you want the fit and finish,
it's quite reasonable, unless you purchase it by the truckload
If you want telescoping sizes, they are available on order, but they are
expensive.
