[TowerTalk] Rohn Bolts AND nuts - won't mate

I bought the bolts from Hill Radio ... they’ve been working with Rohn... Rohn says they’ve not changed the design of the bolts in “some time” and indeed it is because of the need to “meet standards”. THEY say they probably will remove the galvanizing!! So they’re aware apparently of the fact that their design will reduce the life of the bolt itself! On the first ‘set’ (leg set) I opened, and by the way these appear to be Chinese made as they have a “JDF” marking on the top which a Google search says is a Chinese metal fastener maker, (they are marked as Grade 5 also), I could not turn the nut past the point when the dimples met the thread of the bolt.
