I have an 80m vertical using 3" irrigation tubing and a 160m vertical
using 4" irrigation tubing . The 80m been up since 07 ! To splice the
tubing , I use the same tubing and dado about 3/4" out ,then use hose
clamps to squeeze it tight so to slip it inside the long joints. To keep
the vibration down don't guy at the same intervals. Using the falling
derrick method I was able to raise both the 80 and 160 with the help of
a winch .
I made a short youtube video . It starts out with const. pictures then a
video of the 160 being raised .
