I've read some posts of late of LMR400 and LMR600 outer jacket deterioration over the last several years.
I am curious if the manufactured outer jacket formula has changed over the years.
I have some LMR400 ultra-flex on my personal radio tower - installed 15+ years ago at the rotor flex point, and it has not cracked or dried up yet.
Any information would be greatly appreciated from product made 15 years ago.... until of recent years.
Thanks,
James

I use FSJ4 for outdoor jumpers however I cannot imagine that it would be good for a rotating antennas. It
is not flexible like RG213 and the PVC jacket is somewhat thin.

List-post: <mailto:towertalk at contesting.com> Bill etal,
I have also used SuperFlex in rotor loops but over time I had one crack along the annular shield rings, opening
the shield.
Not sure if that was a one off, or something attributable to the SuperFlex construction.
At the time I decided to replaced them all but I am reconsidering SF vs. UF.
