I have both, Eznec v6 and 4NEC2.

Eznec is good to create or modify a design.

But, to analyse and optimize, 4NEC2 is far better. You can get lot of charts (gain, RL, impedance, etc) not available in Eznec.

And the optimizer machine... it is very useful (not available in Eznec either). The "Evolve" and the "Sweep" options are fantastic. Time saver.

Finally, you get bright 3D projections for your PowerPoints (not available in Eznec either).

This is why 4nec2 is great.  It has a decent optimizer.  I believe AC6LA
also has AutoEZ which is a front end for EZNEC
