[TowerTalk] Experience with crank up towers....

If I didn't already have the arms that came with my HyGain and Tri-Ex
crankups I'd have KF7P's arms mounted in a moment. My loops are in the
lengths indicated by the mfr's and in the decades I've had a crankup I've
never had a problem with cables hanging up and here the wind blows ALL the
time. High quality cable ties and good electrical tape keep 'em in place and
agree with the 20-30 degree spread Skip suggests.

If you stagger your arms at about 20-30 degrees apart so they are not in
line with each other, the cables will loop and hang nicely and less chance
to
catch on a lower arm while raising the tower. You cannot do this with the
/US Tower arms because of the way the mount, but the Tri-Ex, Tashjian and
Hygain arms can be dome this way. I don't remember if Chis' arms are
adjustable but I'm sure he can make them that way. He has some very nice
products.
