I, too have the Vantage Pro 2 with every gadget I could hang on it and
make talk to it...  It hasn't missed a beat in 6+ years...  I forget how
long I've had it...

Do yourself a favor if you already have one....  Get the NEW rain gauge
cover and locking filter...  with the spikes on the edges...  Surely
does reduce the bird problems...

My birds figured out all they had to do was poop in the rain gauge a
couple times and wait for it to rain... Instant bird bath...  :-)

LOVE the wireless...  think it would likely be quieter, too.  Also have
the IP dongle for uploading to the net.
