Bob,

Some discussion on this indicates a Yaesu G-800 will fit but even that may have difficulty: https://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/1856

And the rotor plate is just wedged into place: https://forums.qrz.com/index.php?threads/w-51-tower-rotor-plate-question.195724/

Some have worked around the rotor limitation by placing it on the mast above the tower using a lower mast mount. Of course that reduces the rotor rating from what it would be when placed in the tower.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Installing a Ham-IV rotor on Tashjian w-51 tower

I have my new Tashjian W-51 tower installed and working but have found that I can only install my Ham-IV rotor by disassembling the rotor and reassembling it inside the tower section. I want to install the rotor about 7 feet from the top of the top section. The rotor will fit but I've not been successful getting it back together without losing some of the bearings.

Also the rotor plate is just a press fit inside the tower section. No bolts or clamps. Is it supposed to be permanently welded in?

Any advice or experience would be appreciated. Bob NZ6G
