In this VEIN dont overlook using GRC Galvanized Ridgid Conduit it will 
be in the electrical dept..  dont think Lowes offers it,  but The Homer 
does, { Now dont get confused with EMT, this is the very relitavly 
speaking thinwall product } they typically can cut and thread steel 
pipe  and in this instance just cutting is a no brainer..  mac/mc
