[TowerTalk] Replacement of pot = how to?

Just acquired a  used and not to old Tic ring.
 All mechanically OK
Checked motor OK
Checked Pot NOT OK (open)

A close look at the enclosure (plastic MDS?)
notice end caps which are sealed .

What is the method used to open the enclosure
to replace the pot? Don't want to brute force  this
and have to get a new assy from Carl if at all possible.
