[TowerTalk] Paint Fiberglass antennas?

Grant,

Did you use a single part polyurethane or a two part product? Huge night and day difference between the chemistries. I’m sitting in a marina right now where at least 95% of the fiberglass boats with paint on them are painted with two part polys. It’s practically a world standard. Same with aircraft. Two part polys pretty much own the market.

Lot’s of cheaper options of course.

What didn't work for me was polyurethane. Boat paint is often
polyurethane and very expensive.


I do have some FG poles from an estate that are painted with plain latex
exterior and they look great.  Some Rustoleum spray paints say they
adhere to plastic, so they would be my other choice. I have had great
success with their oil based paints on steel.
