[TowerTalk] Removing ground rods

Chuck up the rod in the same hammer drill used for installation. Run it briefly as though going deeper in. That loosens the holding power of corrosion etc. Next, use a T post puller or clamp visegrips near top of rod, wrap a piece of chain around the rod under the visegrips and loop the other end around a pipe, bar, 2x4 as a lever and pull it out with a lever movement.If you have to, move the visegrips to a new position lower down on the rod and keep going until the rod is out.JIM
