[TowerTalk] Cable Ties

If I am cable tying something long term, I will put a few wraps of good
electrical tape overtop of a good quality cable tie.

 

Two months ago, I just took a couple off some scrapped 6m beams that were up
for many years, then laying way out in the back forty scrap pile for a few
more years, sitting in full sun. (sometimes they had a little snow on them
even)

 

I put the cable ties and tape on in the summer of 2005 and 16 yrs later they
were still in good shape, even though some of the tape had seen better days.
