[TowerTalk] TH6/TH7 and history

            I worked at Hy-Gain pre-MFJ and had a chance to meet Howie. He did a terrific job designing one of the most significant antennas of the era. Fortunately he had the Hy-Gain antenna range to help him but it still took 4 hours per iteration to change settings and take measurements for each modification. I don't know how many times the antenna was raised and lowered but it must've been dozens? Hundreds? So tnx to Dr. Jim  Breakall, WA3FET, who was one of the developers of the NEC program and others who made our antenna 

designing much easier and faster!

 

    And tnx to Grant for finding that interesting Hy-Gain history article. Any other historical stories out there that may be of interest?
