Visualize mounting the beam on a mast at 5 feet above ground. If youpush on one end of the beam, it exerts the same force on the mast and inthe same direction no matter which side of the mast it is mounted on.I used to believe this until I thought it through.     Well, not being an engineer, that's what I thought. Dick Weber, K5IU, a PE, published an article on this in QEX years ago where he explained what was going on with wind vectors and forces. The wind forces with antennas mounted on opposite sides of the mast do cancel each other out to some extent. Maybe someone can cite the original article.  Cheers,Steve      K7LXCTOWER TECH
