You can usually rent the demo hammer at your local tool rental company. Some Home Depots even have tool rental now.

As I have told others, here in SW Louisiana, I get down about three feet and stop with a fence pounder. The hammer drill keeps going, just works a little harder until it gets through that layer. It really makes installing ground rods fun.

Either Plus or Max version of the drill will work. After I got an SDS-Plus, the time for installing ground rods went from an appreciable portionof an hour to just a few minutes.73,Jack, W6FB> On Mar 26, 2025, at 11:12 AM, Tim Vandagriff <wa5yom at swbell.net> wrote:> > Any suggestions on the best ground rod installation tool? Thanks TimWa5yom> > > Sent from AT&T Yahoo Mail for iPhone> _______________________________________________> > > > _______________________________________________> TowerTalk mailing list> TowerTalk at contesting.com> http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk______________________________________________________________________________________________TowerTalk mailing listTowerTalk at contesting.comhttp://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/towertalk
