For those of you looking for improved packet support, here is an
update.
Progress has continued to be made (even with great conditions on
TopBand). The program now supports turning the QSX function off
(for DX stations) and allows you to edit the outgoing packet spots
generated with the ` key so you can add QSX information.
Currently, I don't have the ability to tell if you transceiver is
is split mode - so we will have to wait for more work to be done
before the QSX info can be generated automatically.
The last two things to tackle are putting the QSX support into
the Control-U display (and check out a couple of reported bugs
with this window) and to allow that last packet spot to be worked
with a simple sequence.
WARNING!! These are some pretty significant changes. While I believe
everything is working, it is impossible to fully recreate the dynamics
that you will experience during an actual contest. Therefore, please
spend some time playing with it before the contest. I will try to
respond to any bugs on Thursday evening.
I will send out a release late tonight with whatever has been
finsihed up in it.
I hope to spend some quality time playing with the new features
during the contest. The result should be a well tested package
for the future (and I can finally feel good about the level of
packet support).
