The program initialized as expected and I installed it in C:\ LOG directory. When it asked if I wanted to establish a path to \LOG in the autoexec.bat I answered yes. After all was complete I rebooted and returned to DOS. I then made a new directory as a sub to C:\LOG --ie. MD \LOG\10MARL01. I then change to the new sub directory C:\LOG\10MAR01 and entered TR expecting it to boot from this directory. It did not boot and gave me a "file not found" message. I then checked autoexec.bat by TYPE AUTOEXEC.BAT and got the following : SETCLASS PATH=C:\PROGRAM FILES\PHOTODELUX2.0\ADOBECONNECTABLES. There was no \LOG in the path in Autoexec.bat. I also attempted to edit the autoexec.bat using EDIT AUTOEXEC.BAT -- and add the path \LOG but that did not work either. Not knowing what to do I went ahead and ran the 10 mtr contest (after the fact) in the C:\LOG directory. This left a number of files -- 01ARRLL1.CFG ; DAT ; RST ; SUMMARY.DAT; PLOG000.BAK PLOG001 BAK in the C:\LOG directory as expected. I understand that I need to us the command TR NEW to set up a new contest -- e.g. GENERAL QSO.

The path does not always get setup correctly on some windows machines
with the install program.
You need to edit the file - Go to START and then RUN and
run the command SYSEDIT
You can add the path statment there. The SET CLASS above is NOT the path
statment you want to edit.

You can just move all the 10m contest files to that directory.

Use the SYSEDIT command as above - you should have a line that looks like
this:
path=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\LOG

Not - those changes that you made were made to the .CFG file for
the contest that you just ran.

You should have no problems running TR-Log in a DOS window. Some setups
do require some tweaking some dont.

Most email programs understand MIME attachemnts and all you should
have to do is use WINZIP to unzip the zip file.
You can unzip into the \LOG directory or into another directory - and
then copy all the files into the \LOG directory - overwriting the
old files with the new ones.
