[Trlog] SPRINT in simulator locks up

Now that NAQP is over, I'm trying to set up TR to practice for Sprint.

Unfortunately, when I fire up SPRINT with Simulator enabled via ctrl J,
as soon as I hit the ENTER key to call CQ, the computer locks up and
won't accept any inputs from the keyboard.  Touching random keys gets
a beep, but that's the only response.

Setting up SPRINT and saying YES to Do you want to use the Simulator?
also locks up as soon as I start.

I'm using version 6.77 here.
Anyone have an idea what's happening here?
