Jim,
Turn off the 'Save to Floppy' in the LOGCFG.DAT file.
Add a Semicolon ";" to the following lines,
; FLOPPY FILE SAVE NAME=
; FLOPPY FILE SAVE FREQUENCY=
Then 'RESCORE', on my 486 Laptop, it takes about 5-minutes to do 1400
entries.
