K6XX suggested an alternative - setting file attributes to read only -
a great idea, plus:

Yes, though little things like this - like sometimes not changing the
version number displayed by the program - are the sorta of things
that happen when great minds work.

Bob mentioned JIDX - some years back, Tree did change that one
& I believe I've been using the stock .DOM file since.
