It's impossible to over emphasize this warning. After all, the log in 
any form is still sequential, so you can *always* figure out a way to 
format the log with serial numbers (which are, after all, just 
another sequence--a 1 to 1 list of numbers/QSOs in sequntial order).

However, if you ever overwrite your log which contains the frequency 
data, you are done with that information forever. There is no way to 
retrieve it no matter how you order your log. I can't say I know this 
from having the sad experience of it--it was just obvious to me the 
very first time I hesitated before hitting the "replace" button. 
Maybe it's obvious to everyone else, too, and this message is 
redundant. But if it saves one person the anguish...
