[Trlog] Working Screen Display

I am a relatively novice at both using a pc and using TR LOG. I am using a pc with XP. I have extracted  DOS which I use from a desktop icon - "Command Prompt". I have TR set up  for this weekend's ARRL SSB DX contest. I get to the "LOG" directory,enter TR and get to the "Working Screen. Everything seems fine up to there. I can enter contacts and use all of the "ALT" commands, etc.  I also have the computer connected to my ICOM radio and the UP/DOWN band commands work fine whether initiated from the computer or the radio.        Now the problem -

The frequency displays on the Working Screen but after five or ten seconds it cuts out then comes right back on and continues to flash on and off, spending more time on than off.

I could put up with this if necessary but I am affraid that it may effect the proper logging of the band information.

This of sourse would have to show up the night before the contest starts. Any suggestions ASAP would be greatly appreciated.
