Hi
I am delighted to report that we now have a near viable module
to support the Jubilee contest under Writelog.
This has been achieved by Ray/G4FON, to whom all WL users owe a
debt of gratitude- well done Ray!
In fact even a pro. C++ programmer like Ray was unable to
accomplish this on his own, since the supplied documentation for
the Contest Wizard is quite inadequate for the purpose. However
I am also grateful to the author Wayne/W5XD for providing the
necessary documentary support to enable Ray to complete the job.
So where exactly are we?
Commonwealth Stations
_____________
There appear to be zero problems and e.g. inter U.K. QSOs if
made are zero pointed. Also working a station on both modes on a
single band is zero pointed. In both cases you are warned of
this, but not actually prevented from working the station. I
think this is good, and precludes the " oh yes we did, oh no we
didn't arguments!" Moral , work him( her) if they insist and let
the software do the hard work!

Currently these stations are allowed to work each other for
points, which is wrong, although an intelligent operator should
obviate this possibility in the first instance. However not all
entrants read the rules (shurely shum mistake , Ed?) so ......
I've probably gone off a tad half cock, but I just wanted to
pass along the good news straight away. I think we are still at
the "alpha" stage yet, but hopefully it won't be long before we
put the module out for beta testing.
Of course SD already supports this contest fully, as already
outlined by Paul/EI5DI. TRlog also supports the contest via
third party modules, and I will invite " s-u-b-s-c-i-p-t-i-o-n"
shortly. Tim/G4VXE is working with N1MM for that logger, and
hopefully that will come to fruition shortly. I believe that CTJ
from 9H1EL may also support the contest as a CT clone.
Unfortunately it looks as tho' NA users may have to poop the
party, unless I have missed something.
