[UK-CONTEST] INRAD FT1000MP IF Mod

Hi Don et al

Just back on this reflector after my shack PC HD died.    I'm not 
convinced about the '70MHz IF board' so have not fitted it to my 
1000MP - worth looking at http://www.w8ji.com/Receivers/4786 
to see his comments and measured figures.  It seems to be generally
accepted that this mod. noticeably degrades the strong-signal handling
characteristics of the 1000MP, but none of the advertisers like to
mention this.  When this was originally discussed on the cq-contest
reflector, I received an e-mail from a W6 whose measurements noted
degradation similar to W8JI's results.
