Hi all,
New to this reflector, so HI to all.
Had a dabble in the ARRL 10m contest, which was fun! Did CW only with 100W
into a half-G5RV, so almost QRP!
My operation was rather limited time-wise, and I only went S&P for that.
It seems I need to enter a few more CW contests to get my call known, as I
kept getting called as G0SUP, GI0SAP or GU0PSP!
There did seem to be a few GU's around as well! I heard GU3MBS, GU4YOX,
GU4CHY and MU0FAL, so GU was well represented.
Only heard ONE Asian station - XW1IC, which was nice to work, and I also got
ZD8Z for an all time new one. Other good ones for me were ZF2NT, A61AJ,
OD5/OK1MU, SU9US, GD0EMG, FY5FY, CO8ZZ, plus plenty of west coast stations,
who were very loud here.
Does anyone know the QSL route for GD0EMG??
Oddly, I only heard one G, and that was GD0EMG. All others that were spotted
were inaudible here - even the GM's. I also heard LX5A and ON4UN, but
neither were hearing me, yet PA7B was easy! Just goes to show how fickle 10m
can be.
I made one small mistake in my original log (typo), so it showed me as
working WA, when I meant to type MA.
Here is what I managed:
250 QSO's, 1004 points, 89 mults for a total of 89356 points.
I had 40 US States, 7 VE Provinces, and 40 DXCC entities.
Writelog worked exceedingly well, and the newly built CW interface also
worked well.
Seasons greetings to all.................
And very best 73 de Phil GU0SUP
