We older-timers should be careful not to typecast all M3s as newcomers. 
Newcomers to HF, maybe, but a significant proportion have held "B" 
licences and been active amateurs for as much as 35 years.

Some M3s will even have taken - and passed - the revered "essay 
question" RAE!
