[UK-CONTEST] QSK?

As some of you know, I produce control boards and kits for triode and
tetrode power amplifiers. I'm currently designing a new version of the
Triode Board, this time including facilities for true QSK - in other
words, controlling the PA to allow full listen-between-the-dots breakin.
I'd like to get this right first time, but not being a QSK user myself,
I would appreciate some guidance on what's needed... and here might be a
very good place to ask.
Here are a few questions to start the ball rolling - but do feel free to
ignore them or answer the ones I should have asked!
1. Do you use QSK routinely? If only sometimes, when would that be?
2. Does your transceiver (which type?) handle QSK well? Does the
transceiver's QSK affect the character weighting, and at what speed does
this start to become a problem?
3. Do you use QSK through an external PA? If so, does the PA have any
additional effect on the character weighting (and at what speed)?
4. How do you connect the PA to your transceiver? Any problems?
5. Any facilities you would like your PA to have, to support QSK better?
6. From the viewpoint of a CW DXer rather than a contester, would any of
your answers be different?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
