[UK-CONTEST] re: contests

I've also just taken part in the NA Field Day. We set
up five good stations, and _everybody_ in the club who
wanted to operate, on any mode or band (well almost!),
could do so. Of course this means that we stand no
chance whatsoever of winning, but the CLUB and the
ordinary non-contest MEMBERS had a great time. The
only two contest enthusiasts (VA3WN and myself) would
of course have much prefered a single station CW only
effort, but then the club and amateur radio in Sudbury
would have been poorer. It seems to me that is the
point even though NFD is a much better _contest_ than
NA FD.
