Rig Elecraft K2, output 5W QRP. Antennas 60ft lw and 30ft vertical 
for 160m. Operating time c. 40 hours

Another fun weekend! On QRP I found it harder going than last year 
(though well exceeded my QSO count). The big runs of W's on 15 and 20 
didn't really materialise and I got the impression that conditions at 
times were a bit marginal such that the bigger stations had no 
problems but it was not good for QRP. The runs of JAs on 15 yesterday 
seemed more exciting, especially copying their callsigns through the 
multipath echoes (how many dits did he send...?).

I also had the feeling that the receiver in the K2 was coping 
excellently with the bedlam (and there were plenty of the usual ropey 
signals). Many times I could copy stations perfectly when the other 
station was asking for repeats.

Nice to work the 5U boys on the 3 hf bands - first call on 15!

I also had the feeling there was a bit more competition in the QRP 
sections this year...
