 Comments:

Met the personal pre-contest targets (>2K QSOs, >2m points and to give
G3SJJ another run for his money in our own mini one-on-one contest). It
should have been a higher score, were it not for the planned one hour sleep
early on Sunday morning turning in to four. I also wasted time running
outside on Saturday to check the aerials in the gales. I only use doublets
and verticals, although the latter spent more time at 45 degrees (or more)
throughout much of Saturday. They all survived fine without any help from
me, so I should have just stayed on the radio.

I agree with John (WGV) about some of the big stations not identifying
sufficiently often. I can only assume that all those calling have
identified who it is from a cluster spot. But for those of us who operate
'unassisted', it's really annoying and time wasting.

The highlights included being called by an HS0 on 80m quite late on Sunday
evening for a double mult and eventually breaking the pile-up to work TO4WW
for an all time new 'country'. Lowlights included a computer crash that
required me to swap to another PC (on which I then had to load the latest
version of the software). Amusing bits were receiving a 589 from an HB9 on
40m while in the middle of a 120+ run and being called by G1T. I don't
think that was a real call, more of a personal comment! I was expecting the
next call to be from AR5E who we worked while at GU8D in IOTA.
