is to help out fellow contesters with technical questions <<

I agree, many of us would not get far in contesting without understanding
how the kit works, whether its the aerial, propagation or that shiny new
black box.

Just to say thanks for all the helpful suggestions I have had on the
reflector, and I will let you know how things progress. For sure, my first
step will be to lash up the aerial without any balun or choke and find a
resonance. After that I can concern myself about the question of rf on the
feeder and so on.

Looks like it should be a half decent day down here, so out I go ..........
