It will be interesting how the RSGB handles Cabrillo for some of its
contests. The Cabrillo 'specification' does seem somewhat of a hotch
potch, with new formats being added as and when required. In
particular, it does not currently support contests where both a
serial number and other information (ie postcode, name etc) are
received and any contests in this category (many RSGB ones!) must
have non standard Cabrillo. And as we have seen with Stew Perry the
robots seem to have their own and different rules.

The two contests I dabbled in this weekend (and having made a few
contacts I felt duty bound to submit a log) were not required to be
submitted in Cabrillo. In the EUCW contest I prepared the log in
Notepad as Super Duper only accepts 8 characters of free text in Type
11 (many of the smaller contests require more). In the AGCW QRP
contest I did it in Super Duper which partly supported it (but
doesn't do DXCC countries AND free text) and sent the .PRT file,
having scored it by hand.

I suspect we are some way from having Cabrillo as the the defacto
standard worldwide when there are a lot of small contests with rather
odd exchanges and scoring schemes.
