[UK-CONTEST] CABRILLO (again!)

Too late to do an accurate check, but my guess is that about 25% of IOTA
contest logs are from SDI. But the .LOG and .SUM format has changed slightly
with different versions of the software and doesn't, strictly, conform to
the published RSGB format (just as well, as that didn't allow five-character
references for the exchange, so IOTA refs get truncated!).
So, yes, I'm delighted that Paul fully supports RSGB contests. My point was
that no rigid "standard" can be developed that will cover all contests. The
original RSGB format could not cope with IOTA (the one log I received that I
refer to as "RSGB compliant" had truncated IOTAs), with the result that the
definition has had to "flex" just as Cabrillo has to.
Hope this clarifies the matter. I certainly wouldn't want to slight Paul,
who does a fb job!

I must be the one then , as I have used sdi for the last two years and
certainly submitted .log files from it. Thanks to Paul we have at least one
logging program which fully supports rsgb contests!

I think a correction may be in order. I have seriously
supported the RSGB format, with SD, since 1992.
With regard to IOTA 2002, I'm informed that more entrants
used SDI than any other logger? The only log format from
SDI is the RSGB format. Some entrants may have submitted
their .ALL file instead of the .LOG file, but that's another
issue. Please give an estimate of how many of the 1300
logs submitted were from SDI.
