[UK-CONTEST] FW: IOTA 9A0A

Doug, absolutely no sour grapes. There are though several indicators known
to a number of people which caused grave concern about this group.
Unfortunately the adjudicator was unable to verify them and so had no choice
but to allow the entry. The information on the QSL card does appear to
justify those concerns and would appear to explain the queries raised by
other entrants, other than myself, shortly after the event.

Just a few thoughts:

OK, so they had 3 radios, and 3 amps.

Was this a contest-only operation, or was the contest part of a longer
operation, like the previous year? Is it not eminently sensible to plan to
carry spares for anything that might fail during a contest/dxpedition/island
activation? What an incredibly tenuous link from a QSL card list of
equipment to implying that it was all in use during a contest! The thought
certainly makes me glad my own QSL doesn't list my equipment - it would
prejudice every one of my meagre contest entries - and our ZD8K multi/single
entry in the 2001 WPX would be blown right out of the water if it were ever
revealed that we had 5 radios, 3 amps and 4 computers with us!

Can you honestly believe that anyone, especially a respected DX Foundation,
would be bold/stupid enough to openly imply that they disregarded contest
rules - even if they actually did?

I don't know what gives rise to this speculation, but does the principle of
"innocent until proven guilty" not apply? Or do I detect sour grapes
fermenting/festering somewhere?
