Operated BERU from Anguilla as VP2EN with 100w and a
vertical antenna. Great fun working loads of UK and VE
stations plus a few Commonwealth stations around the world.
Highlight was working 50 UK stations on 80m with 100w
and a dipole at 25ft.
I agree with G3YMC's comment that having a Restricted section based
entirely on the length of activity seems a bit odd. I didn't have
the BERU rules with me in Anguilla, but I did have a copy of last
year's results and had assumed that "Restricted" meant simple antennas,
low power or whatever, and not just the amount of time on the air.
Dare I say it? But BERU IS a load more fun if you're not in the UK!
