Dear UK-Contest,
In answer to Don/G3BJ's query:
While some contests have a limit on the number of
band changes per hour in the multi-single category,
in CQWW once a M/S make a QSO on a radio (MULT or RUN)
they have to stay on that band for 10 minutes. So
you may swap MULT and RUN stations without any
problem (assuming they have been on those bands for
10 minutes already). Once they swap then they would
again need to stay on their new band for 10 minutes.

Rules can be found in CQ Magazine, September 2003,
page 38. Paragraph C.1 states:
"Multi-Operator (all band operation only)
Single Transmitter (MS)
Only one transmitter and one band permitted during
any 10-minute period, defined as starting with the
first logged QSO on a band. Exception: One - and
only one - other band may be used during any 10-
minute period if - and only if - the station worked
is a new multiplier. Logs found in violation of the
10-minute rule will automatically be reclassified
as multi-multi".
