Hi Dave

I think you may be referring to the GM5A signal on 80m. Unfortunately we did
not realise we had a bad connecter on one of our 80m verticals, this
eventually gave up the ghost on Sunday morning. Our apologies to all
concerned.

As for deaf that may have been the op, I was on 80m at some point and I am
very new to CW contesting and very nervous! But that was the point of the
exercise to blood new ops to CW contesting and build confidence. We have all
got to start somewhere

We also used ARRL CW to test out our new computers/monitors/network that we
have been busy developing. Fixed a lot of problems and found new ones! Also
very much a Social event for the ops taking the opportunity to sit down and
plan improvements for the future. Those discussions did include plans for
low band RX antennas you will be pleased to hear !!

We had a great curry, a few beers and made1235 QSOs!

Short answer is Lee, my score's almost identical to yours.

I wasn't in a position to do a full-time effort here, but like you I was
amazed at the loud signals on topband, and all bands seemed
in good shape right up to 10m (at least on Saturday).

Had some good runs, particularly as I didn't hit 20m at all until Sunday.

      BAND QSO QSO PTS STATES/PROV
      160 19 57 14
       80 121 363 38
       40 128 384 42
       20 417 1251 51
       15 361 1083 44
       10 146 438 31
     -----------------------------------
     Totals 1192 3576 220 = 786,720

It was unfortunate to hear one of the UK contest calls on Sunday morning
loud but with a T7 note, and deaf as a post.

Dave G4BUO
