Ray, the centre of the universe as we knew it in AFS was scientifically
calculated as NG12 5NX:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=462500&Y=334500&width=700&height=40
0&client=public&gride=462323&gridn=334307&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&a
ddr3=&pc=NG125NX&advanced=&local=&scale=25000
Maybe it has shifted 20 miles east now! Chris G3SJJ

I'm not sure about this concept that the Midlands is the place to be,
assuming
you consider Oxford to be the Midlands. Just 69 Qs here and I spent quite
some
time in the QRS section calling CQ without much luck, but I do have a pretty
inefficient antenna.
I am never sure what constitutes QRS, most stations seemed happy at 18-20,
but I
did get one G3 call me with a straight key at around 12. Any comments?
