Taking the price index from the governments website at 
http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/research/rp2003/rp03-082.pdf
£1-15-0 (£1.75) is worth about £22.53 in 2002 money.  So how come the
RSGB are asking for £42.50 these days?  Just curious, because in real
terms, that is almost double what it was in 1963!!
