No offence taken Chris, I've a very broad back.

I agree actually and have responded accordingly to a private email
received on the subject.   However it should be remembered by members
and non-members alike that the Society, and in this case the HF Contest
Committee, administers this service on behalf of Ofcom.

There are indications that as matters stand at the moment there will be
no amateur radio section within Ofcom by the end of 2005 and there is
some uncertainty as to who will take over responsibility.   While this
does mean a certain degree of self regulation there are question marks
over enforcement where a need exists.   But that's not for this forum.
