[UK-CONTEST] More about DX loops

OK The cable is 7 pieces of copper, twisted, with a PVC insulator on the
outside.

The stuff electricians use in conduits. I have always used a Delta Loop in a
Triangle formation, with equal lengths on each of the three sides.

I'll mail you a photo of the Tee Piece. Take me day or so to sort it out.

Adrian

Thanks all for the replies.

Adrian, can you get a picture someday of that connector you made? I have
made loads of interesting dipole centres but yours sounds cool with the
drilled out 2p!

Interestingly, I have always used a 4:1 balun on my 40 meter loops and get
about 35 ohms on the MFJ, however that's another discussion. I shall
re-think the feeding.

I was thinking of putting the apex of the loop on one tower only, like an
inverted V, but closed to form a loop like an "A" - not the other way up -
surely OK?

>>PS Adrian, that wire you mentioned. 7 core stuff. You use all 7 cores or
strip them apart - I don't understand. The only electricians wire I know is
ye-olde twin and earth.

Callum.
