Started well, S&P as usual, then, about 5 minutes into the contest I became aware that SD (version 11.18, downloaded that day) was not behaving as I expected.

I spent a good few minutes checking that I hadn't done anything stupid, and then e-mailing a bug report to Paul.

Although the only problem turned out to be that it didn't flag up the operator's name when a callsign was entered (no big deal), I couldn't subsequently relax into the contest, and I gave up after about an hour with 40 QSOs in the log.

Apologies to anyone whose name I got wrong, my memory isn't as good as the computer file!

Conditions sounded good from Sussex, with an exceptional low noise level for this QTH. No noticeable QSB, but some contest regulars were not to be found. As there were some big serial numbers being sent, even an hour in, I assume that conditions meant that a lot of signals were just not hitting Sussex. Certainly I felt that there was little left to work when I left the band, which was at odds with other results.

If anybody is starting a poll, I prefer the 2000-2130 local slot!!!
