35 QSOs Adrian? - luxury !!!

I sat at home, albeit with a less-than-perfect location, calling CQ 
on-and-off (on 100 watts of CW) for the whole three hours. I eventually 
worked one of my locals ten minutes before the end who gave me 599001 !!! I 
won't even bother with a checklog for that !!!

Were you running the 100 watt rig from the main car battery? If so, no 
wonder it went flat. When I'm operating in similar circumstances I use a 
"leisure battery" which has better characteristics in the way it charges and 
discharges. Plus, you always know you can restart the car with the main 
battery!!!
