There's got to be some hidden agenda here, i.e. someone in RSGB can smell
loss of revenue resulting from "a free licence for life", whereas surely
this would be to everyone's advantage.  After all you'd still need a lic to
operate, or have I missed something obvious?  Perhaps the exhorbitant RSGB
sub would come under closer focus . . .
