[UK-CONTEST] GM0GAV/P IOTA CW 24Hr (I wish!!)

I was all set up at a great site on Islay, everything working fine and feeling well rested pre contest. Off to a flying start, good rates on 15m plus mults on 10 & 20. Called by JA, HS, ZS, PY, LU, W & VE on the run - 15m in great shape. 1556Z  the power goes off. Ahhhhhh!!

Waited for about 15 mins, checked the incoming mains then called the power company. Their telemetry must be pretty good as they were able to tell me there was a local problem and engineers were investigating. The power came back on briefly about 90 mins later, managed 4 Q's before it went off again. Around 1830z spotted the SSE drover so went to get the news - remote switchgear on the 11Kv line had failed, unlikely to get it on before 0700 the following morning.

Cut my losses, packed up and got the first ferry home on Sunday morning. Actually the power restored at 0130 local, but I was all packed up by then.
Oh well, great site for next year!
