UK-Contest Reflector de G3SXW,
Thanks indeed to Nigel for his posting about WRTC2006
computations and thanks for his support.
His summary of the selection-process seems to be spot-on
and it is good to have it confirmed again that the scoring-
system works OK, so that potential UK-applicants are
encouraged to send in their entry - his spreadsheet will be
useful to would-be UK WRTCers.
Of course, I too hope that at least one UK contester will
score enough points to represent UK in Brazil.
I think I sense a wee complaint when Nigel comments
that the 'tortuous' process took him three hours to complete.
Seems to me that anyone who would seriously wish to be
counted amongst the world's top 50 or so contesters would
think this a rather minor investment of time and effort in order
to be selected. A little effort for a big reward.
The PS query about scoring for the IARU categories has
been passed on.
Hoping to see you all in Florianopolis,
73 de Roger/G3SXW (WRTC2006 Committee).
