Not at all tongue in cheek;  I agree entirely with SVL and for us in
Leicestershire we are at a disadvantage at this time of year. The critical
frequency does not seem to be following any known pattern so the January and
February contests are actually useful.

I would like the contest to stop in May so that we can deal with our
planning and operation of HF and VHF NFD

For that reason alone I would vote to keep the Jan/Feb contests so we learn
more about how to deal with such condx.
